It seems like whenever I leave my house in this pathetic excuse for a world, I end up coming home hating the human population more and more... People now a days have just as little a clue as to how to act civily as they ever have.

Last night, I went to the movies and was shocked and appalled at what I saw. I had about fifteen minutes until the movie that I saw began, so I wandered outside and lit the first of my two cigarettes. I was leaning on the railing outside the movie theatre when I heard a commotion arising behind me. I turned my head in a half curious manner and observed a man, about thirty-five, yelling at his son who had apparently wandered off. It was around ten at night and the theatre isn't in the best of areas. This man was getting very upset and I heard the child start to cry.

Let me describe exactly what i saw when i turned to investigate further. There was a large man, about six foot two or three and weighing in at about two-hundred and fifty pounds, shaking a child of between four and six. They were not alone however, they were with who I assume was the mans wife and several other children. I then heard the man yell at the child and threaten to take him to the car. In another moment, he was dragging the child through the parking lot and I was thinking, " what a fucking bastard, doesnt he realize that that is what kids do, they wander, why is he so pissed." Then my girlfriend and I observed the man elbow his son in the head every fifteen feet or so. Now he wasn"t doing this lightly either. He was hitting the kid so that his head was moving at a violent speed.

As I watched this in disgust, I thought how sick our society was that the mans wife, and all the other people in the area, just watched and let this happen. I seriously think that there should be some sort of a charecter test that hospitals give to all the new fathers before they are allowed to take a child home.

Domestic violence isnt a problem, it is a plague. There are way to many news stories at night of another parent getting arrested for child abuse and neglect. Peopel make me wanna vomit. And all this shit is deemed acceptable as discipline. People need to get a fucking clue that violence against anyone should not be tolerated. The worst part is that this 'parent' is sending the message to his child that violence is alright. Violence plagues our society now more than ever before, it is just better hidden now. When will the day come when people will stop turning the other way?! I hope it is soon.

If everyone hopes to put an end to violence in the schools and violence in society, we have to begin at the root of the problem.....that is where the child first observes violence.
