Chapter 75
Jax kissed Keesha one last time before pulling away. "I love you."
Keesha grinned, placing a small kiss upon his lips. "You know, I think
going out is vastly overrated."
Jax laughed. "I agree. *But* we're going out anyway." his hands slid
down her arms, as he kissed the tip of her nose. "Let's go." he took her
hand and led her out the back gate.
Keesha took Jax's hand, looking around the parking lot as she stepped out
of the car. "You know...we've had a lot of firsts here." he reminded
her.
Keesha merely smiled.
"...We had our first date here...and right over there..." Jax pointed.
"Was when I realized just how different you were when you came to see if I
was okay after my altercation with Corinthos. I was leaning up against
this very car in fact. Do you remember?"
Keesha let go of Jax's hand. "You were wearing a dark blue suit, with a
light blue shirt and a paisley tie. Silk I would imagine." she faced him.
"You had the warmest hands I ever had the pleasure of touching, and your
hair...you had this one strand that you would push back now and again, and
I had to force myself to keep quiet, because I wanted to ask you to leave
it there. Though part of me was...mesmorized watching you push it back."
"You remember." Jax nodded slightly embarrassed.
"Of course I remember. "
"Do you know what other firsts we've had here?"
Keesha continued losing herself in Jax's gaze.
"It was right after meeting you here one day that you...*finally*..." he
laughed. "...admitted you had feelings for me."
"Oh, I made you wait so long. What was it a whole week?" Keesha rolled
her eyes. "I have absolutely no restraint when it comes to you."
"6 days. It was far too long." Jax countered. "But that evening made it
all worth it." he trailed his fingers along the edges of her face as he
remembered them making love for the very first time.
Keesha closed her eyes to his touch, and when they opened they were
sparkling. Jax smiled, kissing her sweetly. "Let's go."
Jax led Keesha into the restaurant of the PC Grill. "Wow it's crowded."
Jax acknowledged.
Keesha stopped staring at him and forced herself to look ahead. Her eyes
clouded as she noticed Jason and Carly over in the corner. Carly noticed
Keesha and gave her a salute. Keesha sighed, attempting to keep her
temper in check. "Jax?" she asked as he led her through the restaurant.
"We're not eating here."
"Okay, I'm sorry, I will not look at Carly the rest of the
evening...wait...where are we going?"
Jax led Keesha to the elevator. "Good thing we don't have to walk this
time. Now, what's this about Carly? Keesha?"
Keesha blinked, in awe. He didn't remember...even he wouldn't
remember..."Where are we going?" she repeated.
"Room 2010. Another first, the first place we ever spent the night
together."
"You are beyond amazing."
"Actually, this is your doing."
"Mine?" Keesha stepped out of the elevator, following Jax down the hall.
"You know how much I hate not knowing things. And you told me once that
there were things you wanted to do...with me, that you were too afraid to
even try back then. Well, my curiosity got the better of me..." Jax
laughed, opening the door. "....and now, you can do all of those things.
No excuses."
Keesha shook her head, still in shock. She turned and looked at him.
"I tried to get a blizzard out of the deal, but even I have my
limitations..." his thoughts were interrupted by her passionate kiss. She
backed him against the door, shutting it as they continued kissing.
"We have to eat..." he breathed as she nuzzled against his neck, kissing
it lightly.
"No we don't."
Jax reached down, leading Keesha's face back to his and kissing her
hungrily.
He pulled away with a groan at the knock on the door. "Sometimes I think
I plan things way too well." he sighed, looking down at Keesha.
"Fine..." she relented, stepping back and watching as he opened the door.
Jax watched, transfixed as Keesha closed her eyes, slowly withdrawing her
spoon from her mouth, before licking the underside. "They have the best
chocolate moose here." she sighed. "What?" she asked as her eyes opened.
"You are an extreme tease."
"You wanted me to eat, so I did. Now what?" she leaned forward.
"Now comes the part where I bear..."
"Bare? Sounds delicious."
"No..." he shook his head. "Bear...as in bearing gifts."
"Jax..."
"No comments, just open." he held out his hand.
Keesha looked down at the small box, gingerly taking it as she glanced
back up into Jax's eyes.
"I'm sorry this is so late in coming." Jax whispered quietly as she opened
it. "I want you to be able to wear a ring that I chose because I loved
you, not for some stupid..." his voice trailed off. "I should have given
you this a long time ago."
"It's beautiful." Keesha took a breath, looking at Jax once more. "Thank
you." she watched as Jax stood, walking over to the table. He took her
hand, leading her to stand.
Keesha looked down as Jax removed her wedding band, setting it on the
table. He took her new ring, glancing into her eyes before slipping it
slowly on her finger. She looked up, studying him with her eyes. "I love
you Jax." she whispered what could plainly be seen in her gaze.
Jax stepped closer, cupping her face in his hands. She reached up as he
bent and they kissed slowly.
