Chapter 43
Chapter 43
As soon as Jane called and told John and Jerry that Jax and Keesha had
reconciled, that they were together where they belonged, Jerry began
packing his bags. He told his father it was to help Keesha and Jax
prepare for the confusion of the Port Charles residents surrounding
their ever changing marital stauts. To help them deal with Moreno,
Sonny and Jason.
Which was all true.
But, Jerry thought as he prepared to land his plane at the airport,
realizing that Jax and Keesha had actually gotten back together, gave
him hope the of the same for he and Bobbie. Him and Bobbie had a deep
history, and if Keesha and Jax couldn't deny their love after the
relatively short time they were involved, how could Bobbie deny hers
for Jerry-after they had been together for so long.
Jerry walked a few more steps in the parking lot. He stopped and
turned around.
AJ paused. "It took you long enough to notice me."
"I was ignoring you. What do you want?"
"Welcome back."
"Uh huh. What do you want?"
"I want my son." AJ said as he closed the space between them.
"That shouldn't be a problem...given where Jason is at this moment."
"The question is I need to make sure Jason remains there."
"And you are telling me this because?"
"Because, I need your help to accomplish that. In exchange I'm willing
to share custody with Carly, equally. Carly and Carly alone. Even
though I could easily take Michael from her as well."
Jerry was quiet. That was true. "What's in it for me?"
"I just told you. Just think of how grateful Bobbie will be if you
help Carly keep her rights to Michael."
"What makes you think I care?"
"Because you're here. Jax has survived a lot without you here before,
which means he can't be the reason. That leaves Bobbie...unless
there's someone else in your life."
Miranda turned on the lamp in her bedroom in her new apartment. She
sat up in bed and picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Jericho is back. As are Jasper and Keesha, together."
"Together? I've got to hand it to him..." how Jax could just twist
people around his finger was quite amazing to her.
"Remember, one month." Helena finished and hung up.
Miranda climbed out of bed, going over to her closet. She needed to
see Jerry now, before he had a chance to see Bobbie.
Jax wrapped his arms around Keesha, as they laid together in the bed,
facing the side wall. He pulled her closer. "I missed having you here."
"I missed being here." Keesha smiled as she rested against Jax's body.
"And Lady Jane seems to like you." he mumbled against her shoulder.
"It's kind of rare for my mum to like someone straight off the bat."
"Today isn't the first day I met her."
"I know, you met her at..." Jax's voice trailed off and Keesha squeezed
his hand. His almost wedding day to Brenda-Sonny brought Miranda
ruining the day and in a split second making his marriage to Brenda
non-existent, he found out his parents had lied all of these years, his
father had a heart attack...it was one of the worst days of his life.
"I'm sorry." she whispered, lacing their fingers. "But that's not when
I meant. She came to visit me while we were seperated."
"Really?"
"You don't seem the least bit surprised. I guess she told you."
"No, but it sounds like something Lady Jane would do." he laughed. Jax
removed his hand from Keesha and sat up in the bed. "I'm going to see
Dara tomorrow, to see how things are going with Sonny and everyone.
That might help me focus on the ideas we played around with on the
plane."
Keesha yawned and nodded. Tonight would be the first night she
actually slept peacefully. Wonder why, she thought with a smile.
Miranda smiled to herself as she saw Jerry walk into Jake's. She knew
he'd come here before going anywhere. "Jerry?" she said cautiously as
she turned around in her stool. "I missed you!" she got up, pulling
her dress down slightly and running up to him.
Jerry wrapped his arms around her. "Hi Miranda."
The next day.
Keesha hugged Jane goodbye and watched her go trough the gates of the
airport. She liked her a lot, she was a little...blunt...to put it
nicely, but that was easy to look past when looking at her motives,
wanting her sons to be happy.
She turned around. "God...you scared me."
"Welcome back." Marcus Taggert smiled. "No offense, but I figured you
were smarter than that."
"Than what?"
"Going back to Jax after what he did."
"Oh. So is that why you're here." Keesha knew what people would think
of her, and she didn't even care. Because they were wrong, she knew
it, Jax knew it. What else mattered.
In any event PC would be gossiping about someone else soon enough.
"No. Is that all you have to say."
"Nothing I can say will change your mind. So why are you here?"
"Picking up a friend...PETER!" Marcus yelled across the way over to the
adjacent gate where people were just getting off a flight. His friend
ran over, patting Taggert on his back.
"Tags!...well well...if it isn't the beautiful lady from the hotel bar
in France."
Keesha tilted her head. Now she remembered, sort of. "That's where I
saw you. Hi."
"You two have met?"
"Not officially lucky dog. She never gave me her name. But you don't
have an accent..."
"Accent? What are you talking about?"
"She said she was never speaking to men with accents again."
"Ah...Pete Johnson. This is Mrs. Keesha Jacks...as in..."
" *Jax*...Jacks...that explains it. "
Keesha smiled, extending her hand. "Nice to meet you, again...but I
have to go. Bye Marcus." she sniled once more and walked off.
"Ready man?"
"So is she still married to that guy?"
"Yes, for some reason." Marcus shrugged. "Let's go."
