Chapter 100
(Author's note-again there are things I don't remember well anymore-guess
what-it's mainly tied into Sonny's history LOL-so I'm using more very
creative licensing)
Keesha and Jax looked out the tinted car window of their rented Lexus.
"There they are, right where Stefan said they would be."
"This is Rivera's old place." Jax mumbled in reply.
"As in Lily?" Keesha looked over at Jax.
"More importantly as in her father."
"He's dead right?"
"Yes...you know he had that contract out on Sonny. That's why he left
town."
"But he came back."
"He didn't have Brenda to worry about," Jax admitted. "And then he
established himself well enough that he didn't have to worry about that
anymore."
"Maybe...maybe not. He's still dead."
"Miranda."
"Again, maybe. But she's dead too."
"So they say...." Jax finally looked at Keesha. "Something is off about
this. Why are Jason and Luke meeting at Rivera's old place? And does it
or does it not tie into Miranda, her assumed death, and did she or didn't
she kill Hannah and Corinthos. Or was it..."
"Helena." Keesha finished his thought. "Which might explain why Stefan
is so interested in what Jason and Luke are up to. But no one's seen
Helena since Stefan ran her out of town."
"That makes her even more dangerous if you ask me."
"I think the biggest question is, do we want to get involved in all of
this."
"The only way we find that out is to find out why Luke and Jason are here."
"Right. Get in the back."
"What?"
"In the back seat. So I can get out on the driver's side. I went for a
ride...wanted to drop by Lily's old place...and lo and behold, look who I
see...."
"No way."
"Do you have any better ideas?"
"No but..."
Keesha climbed out of her seat, moving over and resting herself on Jax's
lap. "Go," she whispered.
"You're having too much fun with this..."
"I told you, maybe I should have become a detective..." She found the
lever on the side of the seat and pulled it. Jax laughed as they found
themselves reclining. "Back," she ordered once more.
"Yes Mistress." Jax grinned and Keesha leaned up slightly so he could get
to the back seat.
"Keesha?"
Keesha looked away from the gate of the Rivera mansion. "Luke? Hi." she
smiled. "What are you doing here?"
"You first," he grinned.
"Vacation."
"Jax is here?"
"Uh huh. Well, not here here-I wanted to visit Lily's old home, and he
had no interest...so," she shrugged. "Is that Jason?"
Luke looked back and saw Jason walking into the house. "Ask me no
questions..."
"Gotcha...but you know Carly was looking for him."
"Keesha Keesha Keesha...hanging out with Vlad and Carly? Not to mention
being married to Jax...what has happened to you?" Luke was betting she
was here for Stefan....though why Stefan would send Keesha of all people,
Luke didn't understand.
Yet.
He would figure it out.
"I do not hang out with Carly. As for Stefan, I don't really hang out
with him either. And as for Jax...what do you have against Jax?"
"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
"John or Jane?"
"Jerry."
"You still don't like Jerry?"
"Not good enough for Barbara Jean...I don't want to keep you. You should
drop by the club though...."
Jax watched as Luke and Keesha continued to talk. After what seemed to
him to be an eternity, she finally started towards the car.
"Well?" he asked as she came in.
"Nothing. But that was definitely Jason and they are definitely up to
something." Keesha said as she started the car. She pulled off.
"Got it." Jason actually smiled as Luke walked back in. "Miranda was
hiding in Barbados. She got a message from Jerry saying he wanted to
meet her...but Jerry never sent a message." Jason hung up the phone he
realized he still held. "She goes to meet Jerry, and that's where the
paper trail ends. So who did she meet instead of Jerry?"
"Vlad...Vlad's mother...Nikolas..."
Jason shook his head. Luke always had the Cassadine's on his brain.
"Remember, Keesha's name was scrawled in what was supposed to be Miranda's
handwriting."
"So?"
"Why would either Stefan or Nikolas do that to Keesha. Helena, possibly."
"So then it was Helena who killed Miranda. She killed Sonny and
Hannah-Miranda's the only person left who can prove that..."
"Or Miranda actually did try and frame Keesha. She knew she was dying,
what better way to get at Jax one last time. And why get at Jax now,
unless she wanted to punish someone else who wanted her dead."
"Who?"
"John or Jane."
Luke walked over to the bar. "Maybe. Or maybe it was both. John or Jane
with Helena."
Jason's eyes lit up. Now, maybe after all this time, he could finally get
Jax back for almost ruining his life. If one of his parents worked with
Helena....
Luke drank a shot of straight whiskey. If Helena had worked with John or
Jane, that meant there was a trail somewhere linking them together. And
now, maybe after all this time, he could get rid of the witch once and for
all.
Keesha walked away from the hotel balcony. "Jax..." she called with a
smile.
Jax looked up from his contract. "Yes..." he returned her call.
"You know what?" she came over to the bed where he was. With a grin she
straddled his reclined body. "I think you should quit your raiding and
you and I should go
into business together."
"Really? Give the Scorpio Detective Agency a run for it's money, huh?"
Jax wrapped his arms around Keesha's waist.
"Yes. We could travel..." she continued in a melodic voice.
"And take our children where?" Jax sung.
"Oh yes...our lovely children..." Keesha pretended to remember them for
the first time. "You think Jocelyn's keeping Jerry and Bobbie up?"
"No-she's a perfect angel around other people...she probably fell right
asleep..." Jax interrupted himself with a deep laugh as Keesha slid down
his body. "Wow..." he began.
Keesha bent forward. "Wow what?"
"Wow..." Jax mumbled against her mouth, the teasing in his voice gone.
His hands traveled slowly up her back, resting against her shoulders.
"I love you." Keesha whispered softly, giving his lips a gentle peck.
Jax swept her falling hair from her face. "I love you too," he replied.
He leaned up, cupping her face into his hands and kissing her tenderly.
After a long moment, he pulled away, his blue eyes sparkling into hers.
"Wow."
Jax laughed at Keesha's velvet toned expression. She winked at him and
shifted a little lower, nuzzling against his throat.
