I have hunted many old houses. But, this one I must say has been the best so far. Horribly trashy, and in the worst part of town. Bums and drug dealers, homeless people and a constant parade of police and medical traffic screaming up and down the two lane road just a few feet from me. The road is one of our towns main and most heavly traveled roads, and it also cuts right through the older historic section of town.
Some pictures appear blurry around the edges, this is due to a panoramic lens I am trying out. Sorry.
Historic district sign in Plancity
Here we are once again digging the outer edges of the historic distirct. Under the constant hail of horns honking, bums asking for change, dealers trying to sell me some " GOOD STUFF ", and police giving me the once over ever half hour or so, I calmly dig my little holes and pocket the stuff I find and fill my holes back in.
After a few days most people left me alone, only the courious passerbys stopped to ask me what I was doing and if I had found anything.
( Every time a bum would ask me for change I would just say " this is where I get all my spare change, sorry.")
THE HOUSE - front view
Here is the house that I spent several days infront of. In the picture above I am standing just on the edge of the road. In the picture below you can just make out the two lane road just to the right of the house or directly infront of the house. In the lower picture I am standing on the foundation of another house which if you look back into the picture above belongs to the white house on the left. The large tree is of special interest so please take note of it.
View of side and front
One more picture on next page of a full side view of the house then I'll show you how trashy this yard is. It was a very challanging hunt and the rewards made it worth while and tought me several things. More on that later.....
