I had a blast at *NSYNC's SoundCheck Party and concert here in JC's hometown of Washington DC! Here's what happened during the day:
I got to RFK Stadium at 1pm so I could get a good spot in line for SoundCheck. My friend and I finally got our passes at about 2:30pm and we had to wait in another line for about two hours. It sucked cuz it was extremely hot and humid outside and everyone was getting really tired, but it was all worth it when we finally got into SoundCheck.
SoundCheck was a lot of fun, but kinda short. When everyone got in and sat down, Justin came out and played guitar with the band. What a hottie! The others looked great as well, but they looked kinda tired since they were in Los Angeles the night before taping the Teen Choice Awards and had to fly all the way to DC. Chris was really funny, though, as usual. The questions people asked were pretty lame, though. This one girl asked Justin, "What's your favorite color?" and Chris said "Hot pink." LoL. They sang "Pop" and "This I Promise You" and they sounded awesome! I finally got to give *NSYNC the gifts that I had for them for over a year. I didn't give it to them directly, I gave it to someone working for them and she gave it to them as well as this funny poem I wrote for them. Also, on their gifts, I left my phone number and e-mail address for each guy. Haha...they better call me!
After SoundCheck, my friend and I just walked around the stadium and it started to rain like crazy! Thank God we were inside at the time so we didn't get wet. It only rained for like 30 minutes and that was like at 6:30pm so it was no problem.
For the concert, I had awesome seats--A2 row 6--6th row center! I didn't know I was gonna sit there 'til the morning of the concert. My friend and I had seats in section B4 row 15 which were on the floor also, but way in the back. I refuse to sit that far! I kept checking Ticketmaster.com for better seats because I heard that they release the best seats the day of the show, but no luck, so I just called a scalper and I got one ticket for 6th row for $100. Not bad at all! My friend was ok with it, though, because she's not that big of an *NSYNC fan and she wanted me to be as close as possible. Nice friend! Anyway, I was extremely close and one of the balconies was RIGHT in front of me, like 10 feet away.
Of course, most of you have been to a concert on the PopOdyssey tour so I won't go into detail. This is my second time seeing the concert and I love it even more the second time. They came over to my side A LOT! They did "God Must Have Spent..." there and I got tons of good pics and all the guys came over there plenty of times and just stood there so I was clicking away on my zoom camera. Hehe. Justin came there and stood there for like 3 minutes and you should have seen me--I was going nuts--trying to get his attention and taking pics at the same time! LoL.
There was one interesting thing that happened at the concert. Right before they were gonna sing "Something Like You", one of *NSYNC's roadies (someone who goes on tour with them), proposed to his girlfriend on the second stage. Of course she said yes, and then *NSYNC gave them a group hug. How cute!
Well, that's about it. I was dead tired after the show and I'm gonna be getting my pics developed this weekend. I took some great shots from both the SoundCheck and the concert so I can't wait to share them with y'all. :)
