Sound Check: We got to the Astrodome around 2:15pm and ended up waiting in line for about an hour and half before sound check...which started at 4. seriously. The sound check was very cute.. I was a little upset that we were not seated next to the catwalk.. but all is good because we were seated in the I think... 8th row right side of the stage... the sunshine kids were on the right side of the stage as well.. so the guys came over A LOT!!
Questions asked and responces - (for the ones I remember.. lol)
*Can I have a hug? - lol... they laughed.. and then shook their heads. and she asked another question insead - the other question was:
* What groups do you like? - I can't remember if anyone else answered.. but I remember Chris saying something about Britney and... someone... Justin laughed it off.. but looked a little offended. but I think he took it as a joke as did everyone else.
* What city do you like to chill in? (I think that was the question) - Lance answered Houston of course.. stated that he and Chris did indeed attend the Astros game and had a blast! Lance also mentioned that we have huge malls.. lol... - this wasn't part of the sound check, but while waiting in the astrohall.. I over heard this girl talking to her mom on the cell that she saw JC at the Galleria.. supposely he was at Neiman Marcus getting a facial... um.. lol.. I don't know if I'm to believe that or not.. ha ha...
* If you can change anything about your life right now.. what would you change? - Everyone stood and thought for a second.. and then Chris pushed Joey away from the group... LMAO... Joey then put on a puppy face.. ran to Lonnie and got a hug from him.. lol.. very cute. I can't remember if they actually answered the question.. I was too busy trying to take a pic of Joey and Lonnie messing around.
*Sad Story + JC and Justin... Do you know a guy named ......? - Chris: "Where the hell did that come from? You tell a GREAT story and then ask whether or not JC and Justin know somebody!?" lmao.. too funny... Justin had no clue.. but JC recalls meeting a dancer or whatever by that name... uh.. yeah and stuff...
*What songs did you guys really like, but were cut from the album - I was gonna scream "Fallen".. but I chickened out... The guys thought long and hard.. JC stated that there were a BUNCH of songs that they liked that didn't make the album... And it was either Chris or someone that said that their remake of Oh McDonald was HOT! and got cut... They then made Lance sing the lead as they conducted with their fingers.. Lance sounded good.. lol.. he only sang the first few parts... right after.. or before.. can't rememeber.... they sang the "Deep In the Heart Of Texas" thing. Love it when they do that... they did it twice.. once in sound check and another during the concert!
*Chocolate chip? or Oreo? - I can't remember if there was a definite answer... My friend said they said that they liked anything with chocolate.. and Joey went on to talk about the oreos that change your milk different colors.. lol
*where did you get that sexy trucker hat from! YUP!!! SOMEONE ASKED IT FOR WHOEVER WANTED TO KNOW! and the answer was... after thinking for a while... Urban Outfiters.. I don't think he was sure though.. lol
*I think one of the questions was about the being famous.. I don't think that was really the question.. but it was something like that.. and I think it was Chris who was like.. Oh yeah.. Look at us in our Celebrity clothes!! lol...
you know what? those are the only ones I can remember.... sorry... my memory has a short time limit.. lol... anyways... other things about sound check that is worth mentioning:
- JC wore normal clothes... Baby blue short sleeved shirt with khaki shorts.. and of course sandals...
- Justin wore that trucker hat again... jeans... shaggy jeans and a black shirt with some brown graphic on the front.. looked like a beatles shirt.. but I can't seem to remember... and he wasn't distant from everyone.. in fact.. he stood in the middle and answered and joked around with the guys..
- Lance wore an orange shirt and jeans... cutie pootie
- Chris wore a sun visor... lmao.. I can't remember what he wore... sorry.. He did look good though!! and I took lots of pics of him.. I think he was wearing those long short thingys and a white shirt.. can't remember... memory fading!!! ahhH!!
- Joey.. wore black.. lol.. can't remember either.. I think it was a black t shirt and long shorts..... dang it!
- JC came out on a bicycle/scooter and rode all around the stage and then ditched the bike
- When first entering the floor.. I noticed someone looking very familar on the stage.. Yup.. It was Chris playing Ruben's guitar... and wait.. I see a familiar hat!!! That's Justin.. I couldn't see what he was playing though.. I only saw him through holes of the stage.. and only saw his head bopping up and down.
- Joey waved to my little cousin... I was in shock.. look at my cousin... looked at Joey waved.. and he smiled and nodded! very cool man!!
- After the sound check ended JC was still on the stage.. he climbed up to where the band was.. and practiced a dance moved... trying to tell the guys something.. maybe they were playing too slow at one point or something.. but yeah... he looked cute.
Now... time for the concert review!!!
Opening acts... eh... we missed part of Not So Boyband because we stayed in the parent's room too long.. lol... They were all good.. but nothing much to mention.
NSYNC.... OH... MY... GOD!!! OK... at first I thought our seats were way too far from the stage... we had section D row 31 seats 17-24... ends up.. we weren't that far at all... and we, my friends and I, ended up with the whole row to our selves... 17 being the one next to the catwalk.. and 24 being the asile seat!!! WOW!!! We were soooo close to the guys man!!! I couldn't believe it.. and they stop by there A LOT!!!!!! For "POP".. Justin ran down the thing and then stopped right in front of me!!! I had the perfect shot man.. but I froze... I couldn't get my eye and the viewfinder to match.. and by the time I did.. Justin's face was in mine... I pulled the camera away... and was like... duuuuhhhhh... lmao... He smiled sang danced and ran to the front of the stage!!! I was like... AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
lmao.... JC smiled at us a lot.. he was near us for most of the show also... mostly for "NSA" man.. he was like.. beside us the whole time... Lance liked being by us as well... I was in heaven!!! My little cousin, and two of my other friends got their hands slapped by Lance... My friend caught JC's towel when he threw it from flying over... but these too $#(*$@ girls behind us grabbed it from her... and jammed her fingers and took it away... her sister told the girls that they better watch out... lol.. they ended leaving early... HA HA... anyways... yeah.. we are all a little bit still pissed about that... but whatever... stupid people man.. her fingers still hurt... anyways what else?? nothing wrong happened.. they all looked very good... sexy... and just happy.
The skits were awesome to watch.... and you know what? I just don't know what more to say... I didn't like the girl dancers.. they were just... not necessary! anyways.. I took LOTS of pictures.. so hopefully I'll get them developed soon and I'm praying they all come out!!! My camera was a bit slow at taking pics.. so hopefully they aren't blurred!!! *prays* anyways.... I really cannot believe for an hour and half.. NSYNC were nearly 2 feet away from me.. (we rotated seats about every 2 to every other song) FANTASTIC!!! that's all I have to say... nothing can top this.. unless I'm closer and next to the catwalk again without taller people in front of me! - just some other stuff:
- Loved all the new songs.. I downloaded them before the concert so.. I knew them all before... which I shouldn't have done.. but whatever.. got a lot of weird looks.. lol... but LOVED THEM!!!
- Lance made us yee haw... lmao
- The row right in front of us were just fine... three young teenagers.... and the rest were kids and one adult who sat the whole time... but the row in front of that one.. was full of adults.. NO KIDDING! Three old teenagers... Four 20+ men... and two 20+ women... seriously.. I think their heads are in all my pictures... lol... that's the only thing I did not like about the concert... I could see the guys fine.. they weren't too small, but man.. when they walked down that run away!!! AHHHHH!!!!!! lmao... bliss!!! lmao...
-Justin said we were the best audience yet.. but I bet he said that to all the other concerts... but I have to tell you.. I saw a full house tonight.. there may have been a few empty seats... but man.... I thought the crowd was awesome!
-JC had this huge... melting smile after he ran down the catwalk in the beginning of "POP".. I don't know.. but I saw it on the screen and my knees got weak! lol
- Our row was on the screen.. I didn't know.. but someone told us we were... cool...
- I saw a blonde chick in the VIP section.. but she looked nothing like Brit.. so I don't think she was there... maybe it was Justin's mom... I can't remember.. My sister and I just debated whether or not it was brit.. but I'm sure it wasn't her... I remember seeing Lance's Mom.. I think Justin's stepdad... Joey's dad.. and of course, Steve... and that's all.
- Chris's head mike stopped working during "NSA"... so he had to get someone to get him a hand mike... and at the end he was doing half the stuff with his hands.. because.. duh.. he had to hold the mike.. lol
