Just to let you know...this is a very long review...it takes place from the 20-22 in Cleveland....I hope you enjoy it!!:)
Ok, where do I start? Well this is gonna be a 3 day long review. These past 3 days have been the absolute best for me. It first all started on Wednesday the 20th. Me and two of my friends, Vicky and Emiley, went downtown about 3:30 - 4:00 to see if nsync arrived yet. We didn't know what hotel so we decided to go to the stadium. We got there and met this security guard, Jason, who told us that he didn't see nsync come yet, so we decided to stay and wait to see if we could get a glimps of them. So we waited there and were talking w/ him and he said that maybe they were gonna come down here, drop their bus off, and then leave for their hotel, and we stayed there for about 3 hrs in the rain!!! We were soaking wet for a while until it finally let up. After awhile we figured that they weren't gonna come and plus we saw all these other fans coming down and we were talking to them and they said that nsync had a live taping in toronto, and weren't leaving until 5 or so. So we basically felt like the biggest losers and we were the only nsync fans waiting outside. And we felt even more stupid when the securtiy guard we were talking to told us he could get us backstage "if we made it worth his while!"....sick!
His supervisor came out and said that there was no way for him to get us backstage so as we were walking away and calling him a bastard over and over again, this lady asked to talk to us, she was wondering what we were doing out there and we told her for nsync, and we asked her what she did b/c she had on these "all access nsync" passes, and she told us that she was they wardrobe person(sorry I don't wanna say her name...b/c she might get mad...so i'll just refer to her as the wardrobe person/lady or whatever). The first thing out of my friend emiley's mouth was "Have you seen them naked!?" and she said "Well what do you think!?" ahah so we were talking to her for a little bit and telling her what a good job she does dressing them and she gave us her name and cell phone number to call her the next day. She said that she was gonna try to get us in the soundcheck for thursday. Well we were beyond excited and told her over and over again thank you...and we asked what hotel they were at but she said she couldn't say but she did say that they were already there, so i'm guessing that the live show from toronto wasn't live, but pretaped unless if they flew in, i'm not sure.
We went home that day in awe b/c there was a chance that maybe we would be meeting nsync tomorrow...(well kind of meeting). We called her the next day at like 12:30 b/c thats when she said she would be in and told us that it was going to rain and that they moved the soundcheck to Friday b/c they didn't want the guys standing out in the rain,(pretty much like we did ahah) but she said that she was going to put the 3 passes under my name and to get them tomorrow. Me and my friend emiley had tickets to that nights concert (the first night) and she asked where we were sitting, we told her and she said she was going to come and talk to us during the opening acts...and let me tell you we felt so special. That day before the concert we went to get her a present for getting us in the soundcheck ,we got her a journal so that she could write down all her expericences on tour w/ nsync, and we got her a card and wrote down every possible way for her to get in touch with us. We got to the concert and were honestly just waiting through the opening acts for her to show up...she finally did and was telling us what to do for tomorrow.
Now on to the show....steve fatone came over the mic and said that the guys were concerned about the weather b/c it had been stormy all day and they wanted to make sure that the next patch of clouds blew over before they started..so there was an hour delay of the concert. It didn't rain at all until finally the lights went out and nsync hit the floor...it was pouring! They came out doing "Pop" as usual and then "tearin up my heart/i want you back" and then they did "just the two of us"(which is the best song) when that was over they went in the back and said they were gonna wait for the rain to blow over b/c they didn't wanna get electricuted and they started singing "I'm singing in the rain..." it was cute, so that was about another 40-50 mintue delay. And JC didn't fail to mention that this was their best show yet! Me and my friend were in section 106 which is on the side of the stage...they were good seats but we wanted closer.
Once it started raining everyone from the field was getting up and leaving so we snuck down to the field and got 8th row for about half the concert when it started back up!! They skipped out on about 5 songs but that was ok b/c they were still hot...and I have so many kick ass pictures of Justin and JC...they went psycho on the mechanical bulls! lol! and during "its gonna be me" JC was bobbing around on this red ball...and since the stage was wet he totally wiped out and fell on his ass..he was laughing hysterical along with all the other guys and couldn't sing his part...it was so funny! and During "gone" i was alittle upset b/c Justin didn't do his humping the air routine or fall to his knees...but thats probably b/c everything was so wet. My friend and I got sent to the back when some girls told on us b/c I was blocking their view...b/c i'm like 5"9' and they were getting fed up...bitches, so we saw the last three songs or so from the back..but it was still fun.
We called their wardrobe person after the concert and told her how we were so stoked for tomorrow and we couldn't wait to talk to her again(this was on her voice mail) and she called my friend emiely back at like 1:30am and was telling her about how she got so soaked but that the guys wanted to finish the show and that she just got done cleaning up. She also said that she showed all the guys what we got her and they all think that we are so cute...ahhhhhh!
So Friday rolls around and we wanted to be downtown by at least 1:30 so we could be like the first ones in line to get a seat at the cat walk...well we weren't the first ones down there but it didn't really matter b/c they didn't have our passes yet anyways. We were wondering where the hell they were until finally their wardrobe person came and gave them to us. We weren't the first ones in line but it didn't really matter b/c we honestly didn't even care about meeting nsync b/c this lady was just the absolute nicest person to us...we are obsessed with her! We got in at about 3:45 and she(wardrobe lady) walked around w/ us to our seats. Before we sat down she went over and talked with one of the big body guards.(that will be handy info for later) We weren't next to the cat walk but about 6 seats away from it.
We bought silly string but obviously didn't reach them so it kind of sucked. Some of the questions sucked too and Justin was being a real prick...sorry to all the Justin fans out there..i'm one too...but he was a dick. Everyone was on one side of the stadium and he would just walk over to the opposite side and just do nothing...it was making me mad. All the other guys looked hot and were so funny....finally Justin lightened up and was being funny, he did his human beat box for us and was adding farting noises into it...it was funny. They did Pop and This I promise you...Justin was singing that one while laying on the ground..probably just to draw more attention to himself...arrogant prick...sorry! That ended about 4:15 and we were just in awe and couldn't talk to anybody after seeing nsync...it was amazing.
We stopped to get something to eat at mcdonalds in this science center place that is right next to the stadium and emiley got a call from the wardrobe lady...she said that she needed to talk to me...she said she needed to ask me some questions. I was like "well is it bad?" and she's like "no" and i'm like "ohh so is it good!?" and she like "well yea I think so" so i was getting so excited and wondering what the hell it was. I gave her where I was sitting (section 4 row 12) and she said she'd meet me there during the opening acts. Emiley didn't have a ticket for that concert but she was getting one from someone who was coming in alittle late. She asked me to stay out there with her so she wouldn't be by herself so I, being a good friend, said yes. We missed the first two opening acts and then she(wardrobe) called and asked where I was and that she needed to see me. So Emiley said I could go in so I left and walked down to my section which seemed to take like 3 yrs b/c I couldn't move fast enough! Once I got down there I saw one of the ppl I was with (b/c all my friends who i was sitting w/ ditched me to go inside...bastards) and she was like "Mary Pat where the hell have you been!?" and i'm like "I was waiting outside w/ emiley." The wardrobe lady comes up to me and pulls me to the side. She got off her phone and was talking to me for alittle bit...and she asked "Ok now do you know the song Its gonna be me?" and I'm like "Well yea." She said "I want you to sing it for me." I said "Well what do you mean?" She said "Just sing the first line for me." I said ok and i did...and then she said "thats right it is gonna be you!" and she was putting this blue wrist band on my arm...I looked over at my friends who were in shock at what was happening... it had a "B" on it so i thought that maybe I was going backstage or something but she told me "Your going on stage w/ nsync during celebrity!" I completely freaked out and started hugging every single person I saw! She told me during its gonna be me to walk over to the opposite side and look for Big E the body guard...and that he would take me up on stage! I was flipping out and couldn't control myself. I gave her so many hugs and thanked her so many times...she has no idea what she has done for me!
So now onto the concert. It was soo awesome. They played so many more songs and said that they had the best time the night before singing and doing a show in the rain! Everytime they started a song I thought that maybe it was its gonna be me...but it wasn't..but when it finally came...I got sooo excited. My friends wished me good luck and I ran over to the other side. Now I was looking over at all these girls who were going up on stage also and noticed how pretty they were and the way they dressed...let me just say that I think I was the only one with a full shirt on...maybe there were 2 or 3 other ppl but out of 16 of us...the majority had belly shirts on..hmm I wonder why they got picked!? All the girls told me that the body guards picked them out of the crowd to go on stage...and I told them that I knew Nsync's wardrobe person and that she gave it to me...but I was wrong...at the soundcheck when she went over to talk to one of the body guards...he asked who I was (the red head!) and told her to give me the wrist band to go up on stage. Now you have to be 18 to go up...but well I'm only 17 and she figured that even though I told her I was 18 but she said I looked older that day...which I found weird b/c I don't think I look older. But anyways...they were kind of rude to us in the beginning and we felt that we were treated like prisoners b/c they kept yelling at us to get up against the wall...like really yelling at us! they gave us those nsync cameras to take pics with...and then they got nicer once they started talking to us. They said that we were to take only pics of the guys...not the crowd, not of eachother, or our friends...only the guys. Well I'm sorry but who would take pics of their friends when you have nsync posing for you!!?? They split us up into 2 groups w/ 8 girls in each...I was in the first...and we made our way backstage...I must tell you I was so impressed with the backstage area!! it was amazing...I saw the wardrobe lady and she wished me good luck and told me to take as many pics as I could...she was soo sweet!:)
Now if any of you have gone to the concert you'll know what I'm talking about here but i'll try and explain it as good as I can. When you are facing the stage...their are stairs that lead to the bottom of the stage b/c it is so high off the ground...thats where we were...I was the second one in line and I looked up on stage and saw the guys doing their dance routine for up against the wall and I was amazed at how close I was. JC ran pass me and this one girl next to me like 3 or 4 times and on his second time back he smiled and waved to me(I'm talking direct eye contact! amazing)!!! Hes soo hot up close. LOL he was trying to get himself up aginst this wall b/c he had velcrow stuck to the back of his clothes but he couldn't do it....it was hysterical!! and then he ran back in front of us...and turned around so his back was to us...and started shaking his ass uncontrolably....it must have been a dance move but it was soooo hott!!!! and thank god i took a picture b/c it came out sooo awesome...i'll have to scan it!! once that was over...the song celebrity came on and we made our way up the stairs and the guys were right there....like 3 ft away from us!! We just kept taking pictures and during one point in the song Justin Lance and JC came over to my side and were posing for all the girls around...I took so many of JC b/c he was right in front of me and I swear to God Justin has the bluest eyes I have ever seen....they are gorgeous...and he looked at me and then just turned away...ok maybe he just didn't like me...whatever but he was being such a prick he posed for like one picture and walked away...dickhead..(sorry again!) then they made thier way down the catwalk w/ their female dancers and we were escorted off the stage. It was an amazing view of the crowd...and most ppl would think that you would pee your pants or pass out...but you don't, all my nerves were gone and I felt so comfortable up there...it was great.
The rest of the concert was soo awesome..they were so close to us...and all my friends could say was..."you were just up there on that stage with nsync!" they were so great about it and cheering me on the whole time... I'm so mad that its all over but we are gonna try to keep in touch w/ their wardrobe person for as long as we can...shes such a great person and she says she does this for alot of fans. Shes amazing. Well that was my review for the past 3 days...hahaa. sorry it was so long, but there was so much that happened. Thank you for taking the time to read it!
