The University is in the process of implementing Oracle Financials and Human Resources modules. Worked as a technical consultant in Oracle HR and Payroll modules and was responsible for the design, development of data conversion programs to upload legacy data into application tables. The conversions handled were as follows:

legacy Payroll system and the spreadsheet maintained by Benefits of the Child care payments and loaded into Element Entry form of Oracle Applications. Used the procedure py_element_entry_api.create_element_entry to perform data conversion.

First USA Bank August 98 to March 99

As Part of the project his tasks included the following:

The Personnel and Payroll system existing on ICL mainframes are replaced by Oracle HRMS on UNIX. He was involved with developing the conversion programs to import data into the system. It required the development of Unit Test Plans, reviewing the test cases and overseeing the testing of programs. He has extensively used PL/SQL Procedures/Functions to upload data from host system and support user for database maintenance and data security.

Using the Oracle Applications Autoclear Automatic Bank Payment Reconciliation import program, the interface tables ap_recon_details and ap_recon_summaries were populated with custom data from reconciliation file in sequential format received from the Bank using SQL*Loader. Costing and MIS System with Cost Audit Reports.

The project was to develop and implement a standalone Cost Accounting Package for a Bulk Drug Manufacturing Plant. Was involved in the following phases of the project:

System Study and Requirement Analysis

Undertook study of various reports of Costing and Production departments. Main reports studied were monthly division-wise Profit & Loss A/c, Element-wise (raw materials, utilities) reports, Variance reports of production, costs. The requirement analysis phase covered the impartial professional suggestions for various additional reports, methods for collection of minimum additional data, refinement of the existing reports in format and contents.

Hospital Management System Package

This is a comprehensive integrated package catering to the diverse needs in the various functional areas of hospitals. The system offers separate subsystems that cover the functional areas of Outdoor Patient Management, Indoor Patient management, Pharmacy Management, Report Generation for investigation services, Financial Accounting, Stores Management & Equipment maintenance system.

 

Outdoor Patient Management Subsystem

Was involved in database design, preparation of program specifications and development using Forms 4.5 for graphical user interface and Reports 2.5 for generation of MIS reports.

The modules within this subsystem are OPD Registration and OPD Billing. The OPD Registration module provides for printing of OPD case paper for various OPDs simultaneously with the receipt for the charges to be collected from the patients. It is also designed to capture information of the renewals and transfer of a patient from one OPD/Doctor to another OPD/Doctor. Some of the MIS reports generated were Receipts Scroll, Department-wise/Doctor-wise Patient Analysis, Department-wise Service Statistics and Income Analysis Reports.
