Uncried Tears

This is just to let you know that I went just a little bit overboard with the symbolism in this one and I was trying out a new rhyme scheme. Eeeps.

The rocks that lay beneath it,
A foundation like diamond to break,
Carved into by canyons so deep,
Ocean formed by waters that seep,
From the different streams and lakes.
An unmoving water so still it's deadly,
With unseen pools and waves,
A tangling mess with wild wild hands,
That shake the way it so still stands,
It stretches beyond the gaze.
Held in by a rusting cage,
That whittles away by the hour,
Water nearly sloshing over,
Like the leaves that spill down in October,
All the hurts this ocean devours.

And there you are unsuspecting,
Driven to and fro,
By the hands that move,
And the waves that still,
Floating in a boat.

You do not know,
Why you are here,
No sign to indicate,
No nervousness to precipitate,
In my ocean of uncried tears.
