The Perfect Friend

I know, I know. This is a complete and obvious rip-off of Brian's "The Perfect Fan," but I'm not trying to be *N S(t)ync here, so I'm giving him full and complete credit. This poem is officially a rip-off of the song "The Perfect Fan" sung by the Backstreet Boys on Jive records, co-written by Brian T. Littrell. I have simply changed a couple of words and what not.

It takes a lot to know what is trust,
It's not the big things,
But the little things that are a must.
A lot of laughs to get me through,
And there is never a day that passes by,
I don't think of you.
You are always there for me,
Pushing me and guiding me,
Always to succeed.

You showed me,
When I was hurt just how to heal,
You showed me,
Everything that is real,
You showed me,
Just how to walk without your hands,
'Cause Megan you always are,
The perfect friend.

God has been so good,
Blessing me with a friend,
Who does all she could.
I've had many years of strife,
And it flatters me to think you're part of my life.
I wanna thank you for what you've done,
In hopes I can give back to you,
And be a shining sun.

You showed me,
When I was hurt just how to heal,
You showed me,
Everything that is real,
You showed me,
Just how to walk without your hand,
'Cause Megan you always are,
The perfect friend.

You showed me how to love,
You showed me how to care,
And you showed me that you would always be there,
I wanna thank you one more time,
I'm proud to say your friendship's mine.

You showed me,
When I was hurt just how to heal,
You showed me,
Everything that is real,
You showed me,
Just how to walk without your hand,
'Cause Megan you always are,
The perfect friend.

'Cause Megan you always are,
Megan you always are,
Megan you always are, you know you always are,
'Cause Megan you always are. . . the perfect friend.

I thank you, Megan.

Yah, yah, more italics. This is just to say that the line "in hopes I can give back to you and be a shining sun" is really really bad, I know. And I cannot stand it because one the real version "in hopes I can give back to you and be the perfect son" is such the coolest line, and I've screwed it all up, so if anybody has a better suggestion, e-mail me, I will take everything into consideration.
