| Little MaryLittle Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, It wouldn't make it through the night. She had made it with her own two hands, No help from the cruel north wind; A little bit from good friend Sal, But mostly from within. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, It wouldn't make it through the night. She had let the candle burn so true, Even when the east wind roared; She closed the windows and shut the doors, Until the east wind roared no more. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, It wouldn't make it through the night. But though little Mary's candle, Shone on true and bright, Through all of east wind's meanness, All the fights and the lies. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, It wouldn't make it through the night. It would only take two hours, For the blame to nearly blow out, As the north wind spun through the room, Destroying all about. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, It wouldn't make it through the night. And so Little Mary's candle went out, Or so it did seem, With Little Mary too tired to fight back, And all hope lost its gleam. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; Sweet Little Mary did not know, it wouldn't make it through the night. But with maybe a little help from Sal, And a bit more wax, Northern wind will lose the battles, And pick up all the scraps. Little Mary built a candle, Shone brightly did its light; North wind did not know, It wouldn't win the fight. So with some courage and lots of strength, The flame burns on bright and true, The candle was your life, ***** , And Little Mary was you.~~~1999~~~ Don't forget to sign my GuestBook and Join my Mailing List! thanx!!
