Crazy Dream

When all the lights are down,
And all the world's asleep,
I stay up at night sometimes,
And think my crazy dream.
I hold myself and close my eyes,
I rock me back and forth,
Images flying through my mind,
My knight on his white horse.
And I wonder who he is,
And I wonder what he's like,
And I wonder the millions of questions,
On these lonesome nights.

My heart beats in time with his,
With his breath mine rises and falls,
So far away he may be,
But somehow he'll hear my call.

When the world finishes its daily rush,
And there's only the moon's soft gleam,
I look up at the sky and smile sometimes,
And I think my crazy dream.
I open my heart and close my eyes,
And I shut all of the doors,
Pictures running through my mind,
Of a beautiful loving world.
And I wonder the way he laughs,
And I wonder the way he speaks,
And I wonder so much about him,
Under the moon's soft gleam.

Our hearts will beat as one,
Our breath the same it seems,
And I know that he is out there,
While I think my crazy dream.
