Repealing the Law of Gravity

by

Derrick Cerwinsky

The world is under a curse.  This hex was not placed on us by any witch or demon, but rather we have put it on ourselves.  This curse is one that has plagued us from the start. It is simply that we like to make laws.  Ever since the time of Hammurabi’s code we have tried to make as many laws as we can.  Most of the laws had some value, however the usefulness of most laws has passed.  For example, before the internal combustion engine most people used animals to get around.  As cities became more populous it became necessary to restrict where animals could be put.

Another example is that in some towns it is illegal to sneeze on a public street.  The point of such a law is so that the horses will not get spooked.  In the postmodern world we no longer need a law telling us where we can tie a goat or how to sneeze.  Laws like this just serve to fill the law books and keep our courts overworked.  Some old laws are far more dangerous than this.  In the great state of Texas it is legal to kill a man if he just needs killin’.  Texas is a wonderful place, but this law could make tourism in Texas to a minimum.

But even this is not the pestilence that I see as the greatest threat.  The old law that I am referring to is something that touches every man, woman, and child in this and every other country in the world.  The removal of this law would save us millions of dollars in fuel costs, and do more to help the environment then any other possible action.  This law keeps us shackled in ways we cannot even dream.  I want freedom in my life.  I want my children’s children to be free.  This is why I have dedicated my life to repealing the law of gravity.

Does man need gravity to live?  Surprisingly enough, he does not.  In fact we can see that we did not always have gravity.  We know that as recent as the time of Jesus there was no gravity.  We can see this from what the Lord told us regarding the laws of the land.  Jesus told us that we should obey the laws that the government puts before us.  We are also told that Jesus was without sin.  Jesus ascended into heaven.  If it had been a law at this point in time then Jesus would have been breaking the law.  This would have been a sin.  Jesus was without sin.  Therefore the law of gravity could not have been in place.  Man has a long history before the coming of Christ.  So man did not need gravity.

The next question that must be asked is why did man ever pass the law of gravity.  This is not such a hard question, as it may at first seem. Man invented the bow.  As a weapon of war, man needed the projectiles that were lunched from the bow to fall.  Without gravity the arrows would just fly out to space.  So the law was brought before the Caesar.  He saw the advantages to having the bow, so he passed the law.  We know that the Romans did not know how strong gravity should be when they first passed that law.  This is evident from the fact that there was a steady decline before the fall of Rome.

Why do we not need to keep gravity around anymore?  Gravity has been an asset to mankind in many ways.  As late as WWII man has used gravity as a weapon.  Without gravity we would not have been able to bomb Germany in such an effective manor.  Nor would we have been able to drop the A-bomb.  But with the advent of guided missiles and jet engines we no longer need gravity.  Advanced guidance systems have done the same to gravity that the car did to the no sneezing law.  It is just not needed anymore.

What benefit is it to mankind to remove this law?  This question has so many answers that I will only address a few.  The most obvious is that we would save money on fuel.  The most expensive part of a flight is getting off the ground.  Without gravity it would take only about a tenth of the fuel at takeoff.  But on a more personal level, it would not take as much gas to drive up a hill.  From this one point alone we would benefit the environment from an extreme decrees in carbon dioxide emissions.  The ozone layer would be able to rebuild itself and thereby decreasing the risk of skin cancer.  The list of benefits goes on and on.

So what can I do?  Write your congressman.  This is an election year.  Congress always tries to make themselves look good.  Give them a chance.  Talk to your state and local representatives.  Talk to your friends.  Every little bit helps. Do your part and together we can stop this monstrosity that binds us to the ground.  It served its purpose, but its time is past.  Join together now and soon we will be as free as the birds in the air. I am calling to you now; people of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains!  Join me as I cry, DOWN WITH GRAVITY!!!
