Two secret agents (no names given) come to Lawndale School to ask to kids to look for others acting different. Daria and Jane are just like yeah whatever, until when they see on Sick Sad World a special episode about aliens on Earth. Jane, convinced that this is a joke, says to Daria, "If there were any aliens smart enough to come here, they wouldn't be stupid enough to come here." Daria and Jane start talking about that and Jane says why would anyone want to take over the body of a teen and go to high school? Wouldn't it be easier to do neck implants? Daria agrees, and then questions on the depressing music in the backround. Jane says it is Trent and he has been playing it for a while.
At breakfast, Daria is questioned about yesterday. Daria tells them about the crazy guy on TV talking about aliens walking the streets. Helen says, "Well of course they are. Many of them can't afford a car." Jake them comments, "Helen is right. We were all aliens at one time or another." Daria is starting to freak, when Quinn comes down dressed in a black turtle neck and a black beret. Daria remembers what Jane said about neck implants and gets really freaked. When Daria tells Jane at school about Quinn, and as Kevin and Brittany walk by Jane asks have you ever seen Kevin without his neck thing. Daria says something about implants and Brittany turns around and screams, "It's not true!" Jane says Brittany probably thought they were talking about her UFO's. Mr. O'Neill hears and starts a conversation about communists. Joey and Jeffy walk by and tell Quinn and the Fashion Club (who is yelling at Quinn for her clothes) that Daria is a communist. Later in the day, Mr. DeMartino is taken away in handcuffs.
At home while Daria is walking past Quinn's room, she hers them talking about Quinn still being one of them. Sandi quickly changes the subject to plaids. The phone rings and it is Jane. She is scared by Trents song and wants Daria to come over for pizza. When Jake asks where she is going, Daria says for a power walk. When Jake tells Helen, Helen says that Quinn and Daria have switched personalities.
As Daria is walking to Jane's, she hears something in the bushes. It is Kevin and Brittany making out. After everyone comes out of hiding (because Daria has passed) it turns out to be Upchuck, Mack, Jodie, and Mr. O'Neill hunting for communists. Mr. O'Neill drops his flashlight and everyone searches for it. Daria and Jane see and they think it is a UFO. When they ask Trent about his music, he won't tell them what it is. The pizza guy comes and stays for a while, afraid of the aliens.
At school the next day, Mr. DeMartino asks who told the agents it was him. It really was Ms. Barch, but Upchuck says to everyone that is was Daria and Jane. Daria points to the Fashion Club, who is now dressed like Quinn. They think it is them until Stacy and Tiffany let is slip that Quinn has a neck zit. Trents music turns out to be for a commercial for Happy Herb Cars. Daria and Jane's head gets placed on Sick Sad World as aliens.
