Dancers by Michael David Coffey

Red Fandangle

On the boardwalk of an evening
In the starry light street parade
We strolled and breathed
Of life's zesty deliverance
Architecture and street angels
A tall lean lady with a collar
Serving seafood pasta
Sacrificial clams in a spicy
red tomato sauce
And talked of cyber dating
and the McLuhan age
Souls and mating and
of alternative music, McKennitt
and Pink Martini sympathique
In a bookstore, poets
deliverance and pictures
of Gehry's Guggenheim Bilbao
And more music, hearing CDs
in the wood clad long hall
Visions of Mckennitt here in
her long black cloak
Pulled tight at the waist
Long blond hair
Dazzling highlights
of Celtic sunsets in
your hair of red
Magnetic gesture in
an exchange of thoughts
Wild spontaneity in the
red fandangle of
a fantasy blue night
