Pan and Psyche by Sir Edward Burne-Jones

Love's Ecstasy

Ecstasy was mine, ours
among the silky
shadows of
our dreams
In a fantasy of
ecstasy
Dancing in our lover's
bed
among flickering candles
And dreamy musical notes
Each moment, each touch
electrifying

The play of love
a drama of divine
sensuality
No reruns here
but each scene
A new vision of
boundless pleasures
and burning pain
of desire
Each touch, each kiss,
each slow penetrating
dance
A new dream
of magical lights

Sliding and gliding
and turning
Like golden eagles
in the heavenly
skies of love
We lost ourselves in this union
Enjoying each moment,
in memories, and
sensual needs
Our minds outside our
bodies
floating together in
Love's Ecstasy
