”Spring” by Alphonse Mucha

Blue Eyes

In your eyes I see a
tale of many lives
Of love and loss
Sadness and hope
There in the center
of your soul
I mingle with the
deepest darkest
secrets
Deep dark syrupy
soup of sweet caffeine
Here in the pain of life
Secreted away in your
heart

There the longing
and the suffering
Hopes played out in
the casino of life
And new life
in the shadowy
mists
of a soul discovered
Fresh winds blowing
in your golden hair
Lighting up your eyes
Blue reflections on
an azure lagoon
of pale moonlight
Calm waters in
the cold grip
of a golden light

Discovering newness
in oldness
In every flower, every
sound, every gesture
A silent tear falls
imperceptibly
On the marble table
top
Disappearing in the
white veins
And I see in your eyes
the pain, the feeling
The hope of life anew
And we part
One last glance,
blue eyes together
for a fleeting moment
