I see the middle floor, between third and first
that the RAs call, college at its worst
We all know that our homes, our homes are set above
this lousy warehouse, this institution for our young
In every room with a jerk, we see the same principle at work
Taking as his what is thine, tearing down meeting signs
The big bad campus, students studying every course
but when you hear a truth, consider the source
Don't feed individuality but create a lot of cliques
Never understood all those different types of Greeks
To your own drum march and hold your ground
From your own drum keep on beating out your sound
We see so many kinds, of students coming for a degree
while their neighbors dream of making them unfree
"We've got better people, better porn, and the best beer"
"but do as we say, or you'll have us to fear."
Why are they acting so tough? And if that wasn't cruel enough,
they go on to abuse your mind, if you're not one of their kind
The big bad campus, students studying every course
but when you hear a truth, consider the source
Don't feed individuality but form a lot of cliques
Never understood all those different types of Greeks
To your own drum march and hold your ground
From your own drum keep on beating out your sound
They tease you to tears, and they call names that hurt,
for a change of major, or the club on your shirt.
Better dormmates who stimulate, and support the rights of your soul
than dormmates who only hate, and hack you full of holes
The big bad campus, students studying every course
but when you hear a truth, consider the source
Don't feed individuality but form a lot of cliques
Never understood all those different types of Greeks
To your own drum march and hold your ground
From your own drum keep on beating out your sound
