Type Cast

I answer the phones
and I know how to file.
I greet people with
a “hello” and a smile

I offer them coffee
and hang up their coats.
Then I go in a meeting
and take lots of notes.

I try to solve problems
when someone complains.
I have many skills, but
one question remains;

I wonder as I stare
at my coffee cup
why I write stuff down.
but I type stuff up.
