This chapter begins with the group assiting King Genser who himself believes this to be a ploy for Soubar to justify an attack upon Elturel.
Once in the Tame Lands the King pays the group their reward for the Heart Stone, and dubs them noble status in name of Queen Leahra, and informs them they will be heading the 75th expiditionary force to keep an eye out upon the southern roads leading from Soubar to Elturel and inform the King of any sizable force heading there.
