HERE I SAT

Here I sit with my eyes to the light
Lost in its brilliant colours
I search its source
And I found no answer

Here I sit on my wakening night
Sleepless and lost within its spell
Lost in love with the girl a sea apart
Daggered by her absence

Here I sit on my burning bed
Listening to the sound of the early birds
Wondering where life will lead today
And I found no answer

Here I sit with my heartache
Wishing she was here
Holding onto memories of yesterday
So unsure of the past

Here I sit with my mind astray
Lost in this clueless love
Wondering if love was true
Or is her heart belongs not

Here I sit with tears in my eyes
I wish I knew why
For her smile belong not of mine
Nor I know where it belongs
