My Siren....Tori Amos

I'd like to talk to you for a second about a very special group of people... :) The Purple People! We are a group of Maryland/Virginia toriphiles who have connected due to some hard work from my buds Phyllis and Stephanie! Together as a group, we have shared not only a love for Tori, but a special link that can only be found through those that are touched by her music. We do everything from waiting for tickets together, drinking daquiris and margaritas, to singing Tori songs *with the aid of Karen at the piano*... it's people like these that make it great to be alive!!! So thanks puple people! :)

NEXT US SINGLE and VIDEO? UK SINGLE and VIDEO? Word is the next single to be released in the US is Jackie's Strength.. The Single will contain 2 other B sides!!! The video has already been spotted by some and has been described as "Amazing"... The video takes place with Tori riding around in her wedding dress looking out the window through her own life... from Teen love to Marriage... The next UK single is Raspberry Swirl, to be released August 10th!!! This video is also sounding very interesting, with Tori crawling through tunnels and dancing in clubs! Be on the lookout!!!

To tell you the truth, i was terrified when i heard the new album was coming and it was going to be "different"... Though change is wonderful, this sparked that rumbly feeling in my tummy of past musicians i've admired presenting "different" albums, which usually meant sold-out albums... But Tori didn't so much change her music as evolve it. This album is progressive, sensual, shocking, sassy, and exhilirating!!! If you haven't stormed your local music store for this treat, GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET IT NOW! :)

ABOUT RAINN (Rape Abuse and Incest National Network)

RAINN is a hotline/help service founded by singer/songwriter Tori Amos to help those who have lived through abuse of any kind. This organization was started due to Tori Amos being raped herself late one night after a concert, and this service is a way for her to help prevent or aide those who have suffered as well. Congress Honored Tori's accomplishment by declaring May 16th "National RAINN Day" wherein a special public service announcement by Tori herself was broadcasted nationwide.
