Ashley's most recent competition was L10 USAIGC National Championships. The meet was held in Florida, and Ashley had a great time, finally competing again. She had a great meet; dominating the competition. Ashley will most likely be returning to elite competition in the near future, if all goes well.
At the 2000 Maryland Classic, she competed in the Senior Division, but the meet was L10/E, and they went by L10 rules. On vault, Ashley pulled two huge pike fronts to win vault with an average of 9.6. On bars, she competed an uprise full + reverse hecht (Tkatchev), which is a very difficult connection (D + D.)
At the 1998 U.S. Classics held on August 1st in San Antonio, Texas, Ashley competed only bars and beam. She had 2 good routines, scoring in the high eights on both. But because Ashley only competed two events, she placed 32nd in the Junior International Elite all-around. The meet was fun for Ashley because she was born in Texas and lived there for a few years. Ashley's sister Courtney was also there competing in the 1998 U.S. National Gymnastics Festival. She placed 4th in the all-around in the Junior National division.
Ashley also competed in the American Classic in 1998. She had a good performance that qualified her to Nationals. Ashley's strengths in this meet were vault and floor. She placed in the top 10 on both events and also was awarded medals for both apparatuses.
