Hi
Well Courtney got 8th at the American Classic. The top 8 get put on the national team. They will re-rank the Jrs. and she will be 8th. She is now eligble to get an international assgnment. She had 3 falls at the meet. She feel twice on bars and once on beam. So she felt very blessed to get 8th!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm excited about going to my first meet of the year in Arizona. I'll probably just do a watered down beam and bars. But I get to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi
Well I'm going through another little set back in my training. I am trying hard not to let it get me down. My mom just keep telling me to pray for strength. I landed wrong on the beam and hurt my ankle again. I have to be off of it for 2 more weeks. I can still train bars which is good. Maybe someday bars will be one of my best events.
I want to thank Christine and Kristin for all the work on the page. I really think its cool.
Guess what? my 12 year old sister Court made jr. international. I am so proud of her. She will be competing in the American classic. I'm still up in the air about being ready. Even if it was just for bars. I just love to compete.
My team will be competing this weekend in the Maryland classic. Then in 2 weeks at the parkettes invit. I wish them all the best of luck. I'm not losing faith that maybe I will be ready for the classic at least bars.
Best of health to all, Ashley

Hi,
I want to thank Christine for all her work on my web page. It looks really good. Just like my friend Christine I also have tendonitis, mine is in my recovering ankle. I'm icing alot and I am starting some physical therapy also.
I am still doing alot in practice, but after awhile it starts to hurt. I am praying for the day I get to work out pain free. I have so much I want to accomplish before the American Classic in February.
I am really relying on the verse my mom told me about, All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. At times when I get down I try to remember that.
I'm looking forward to a Merry Christmas and bright new year, 1999!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I pray the same for everyone out there. A Merry Christmas and a great 1999!
Health to All, Ashley

I hope everyone had a Happy Thankgsgiving. We had a quiet, tough one this year. My grandfather died last week of leukemia. It was very sad for our whole family. He was really proud of my gymnastics. Everyone in our family will miss him alot.
Gymnastics is progressing well. I am working on some new skills on bars and beam. Trying different vaults and working on my tumbling passes. The 2nd week in December my team is going to Va. Beach to an elite clinic. I think Courtney, Glyn, Casey and Jamie will test comp. routines. I wish them the best of Luck.
Best Wishes, good health, and prayers to all. Ash

Hi
Things have been busy lately. Its close to report card time and all the teachers give out so much work. Courtney had a good time at her camp.
Erinn Dooley is getting ready to go to Switzerland next week. Good Luck Erinn! Jeana Rice went back to Florida. She really missed her mom.
My new teammate Kacy Koyne hurt her foot so we are all hoping for her to recover quickly. She is a wonderful person. I really want her to make elite soon. Robin is recovering well from her knee surgery.
My training is going well and I'm enjoying the process. I'm thankful for all my blessings and being able to train 100%.
I think we will be going to some elite zones in December. I think thats when Courtney and Glyn and Kacy if she is ready will try for international elites. Good Luck to all of them.
I got a new Floor routine sunday from Galina from Capital. I really like it alot, I still need to practice it alot, but I think it will be a lot of fun to do.
Well thats about all thats going on at Hill's. Good health and Happiness to all.

Hi,
Hill's girls love to celebrate Halloween. We have been dressing up all week at practice. Kelli Hill had a Halloween party for us this week. I had a great 14th birthday. I had a great ice cream cake! yummy!!!!!!!! I got a nail decorating set. I love to paint pictures on my nails. I am also into the creative moments scapebooks too, so I got some stuff for that.
My sister Courtney and teammate Glyn Sweets are at the national elites training camp from Wed. to Sunday at Karolyi's camp. They have to miss trick or treating. They were happy about going to the camp but sad to miss trick or treating.
Everyone is working hard at Hill's. Erinn will be going to Switzerland in Nov. for an International meet. Good Luck to Erinn! Congrats to Elise Ray see her great picture on the cover of International Gymnast this month.

Dear Diary,
This is for all of us that have had set backs due to injury. The comeback has good days and days that aren't as easy. My mom keeps telling me to get the strength from God. I guess that is a good life lesson. She tells me about a verse in the Bible that says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I'm going to try to remember that always. I know I can't do it all by myself. And sometimes there is no one that I can talk to about it. It's good to know that God is always there to talk too.
My mom got me Shannon Miller's new book and I really like it. It has alot of inspirational thoughts in it. She sounds like a wonderful person. Well thanks for letting me say what is on my mind.
I hope health and happiness to all Ash

Hi,
Everything is going well at Hill's. Everyone is working hard for the upcoming season. My doctor finally gave me his blessing and I can now go 100% on training. And I plan to do just that. I am going to work harder than I ever have.
The Hills Elites are going to Hollow Scream, a fun place to go for the Halloween season. It is always fun to go with my teammates places. We always have to good time and act really silly.
I think Erinn Dooley is going on an international assignment someplace. I'm not sure where, but she is getting ready for a competition. Courtney, Glyn, Casey, and Jamie are all getting ready for some elite zone meets. I think my first meet will be in January hosted by Hill's called the Maryland Classic.
Well, that's all for now. I hope everyone out there is healthy and happy. Ash
