We are here in beautiful Western New York. This is the place we have lived all of our lives. Our town, Amherst, NY, was just name the "Safest City in America." Our town has won this distinction six of the last eight years. It is based on statistics regarding violent crimes reported to the FBI by cities with populations over 75,000.
Joe and Marlene have a blended family that lives in two countries. This site is designed to let you know a little about us, our children, and the two worlds we live in. We have family throughout the United States. The Family Page will take you to links for other family members. There will also be a link to Marlene's family tree, which her brother Tom has spent countless hours researching.
Joe will help give us a glimpse of Germany. He lived in the southwest region of Germany for twelve years. This region is known for its winefests which are usually held in late September and early October.
The reason for starting this website is that it is a project for college. Part of the assignment is to HAVE FUN and build a website. The other part of the assignment is to research a GIZMO, or information appliance. I have chosen to research MIT's PROJECT OXYGEN--HANDY21. Follow the links below to learn more about it.
