Two kinds of birds fly
over the California deserts
the hummingbird and the vulture.
The vulture spends its time
looking for rotten meat.
Not so for the hummingbird!
It looks for the blooming cactus flowers
hidden behind the rocks.
Each bird finds what it's looking for.
We can be a hummingbird, or a vulture.
to build bridges, or walls.
We learn believe the best about people and,
oddly enough, they will become
the people you expect them to be.

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou can not then be false to any man.
- William Shakespeare
