General Grievous was once an Alien lifeform, whose life was preserved by mechanical life support. What was left of Grievous was placed inside of a massive Droid body. General Grievous was chosen by Count Dooku to lead the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. Trained by Dooku in Lightsaber combat, Grievous quickly became a dangerous Jedi assassin, killing dozens of Jedi throughout the war. During the Battle of Coruscant, Grievous managed to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine. As Grievous attempted to flee Coruscant with Palpatine in custody, Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi snuck aboard his Command Ship, killing Count Dooku and rescuing the Chancellor. Grievous fled to the Separatist base on Utapau, where he met up with the Separatist leaders. Knowing that the Republic would soon track them down, Grievous was ordered by Darth Sidious to send the Separatist leaders to Mustafar. Before Grievous himself was able to retreat, Obi-Wan Kenbobi found and engaged him in battle. Obi-Wan pursued Grievous across the Utapau colony and eventually killed him in combat just outside of Grievous' escape ship. The death of General Grievous brought about the end of The Clone War, and the rise of The Empire. |
