Poetry by me... inspired by love and depression (some times it's hard to tell them apart).
Note: none of this stuff is very good :)
"Black"
In the dreaded pool of night, Darkness moves to cause a fright,
In the place were hope is dreary, Ebony is moving clearly.
Gloomy feathers move in time, to satisfy this eerily rhyme,
Sable wings a mile long, to castigate this foul song.
Swarthy is the swirls it makes, breath from longs it seeks to take,
Sullenness consumes the land, taking away are merry band.
Raven like it seeks to take, all that I have left to stake,
Menacing in total shadow, striking my heart just like an arrow.
And as I stoop and stare and craw, hear where all my flesh is raw,
I begin to think that deaths a door.

"Travel"
The dark guardian guards the gate,
the raven watches him, watches the gate
Watches the grey walls from which no knowledge tells.
Walking along the grey path,
the land is in winter barren and cold,
no green pokes form beneath the furrows.
Grey mists cloud the horizon and hangs in front of the eyes.
The air is close and muffles exhausted footsteps upon the cracked and isolated road.
The air clears as the path descends; trees hold back their gold and red bounties.
The mists recede and hang likely upon the trees and yellowing grass.
Tired feet many paths branch into barren path, leading upwards into the mists.
The land becomes green and the mists are silent spectres no more.
Voices cry out into clear sky’s, all eyes forward down the path.
The grass is tall and the birds sing as hustling feet travel an ordered road.
The green buds poke from darking branches as the path brakes into the quite glade, nothing but the wind brakes this calm.
The springy moss lifts your feet till you approach the oak.
Curling into its roots to the clockwork breathing of the wind, listing to the shacking of the tree on a bed of down.
