This poem is
dedicated to Station 23.
There it stands,
Tall and strong,
Like the wind,
Like a mountain.
442 standing so quietly
in the hall,
Its windows as bright as
a shinning star,
Its siren more louder then
a freight train,
The gong is like the sweet
sound of a flute,
The kitchen makes you feel
at home,
The Canadian flag proudly
flopping on the flag pole,
The 3 large doors each reprent
a differnt emotion,
Love, Honosty, Friendship
I feel that the people working
here are my second family,
With whom I spend 4 years,
On every call,
On every summer day,
Those times when 442 was
responding to a call on Pembina,
Are all memories now,
Every weekend when I didn't
have anything to do,
They where there for me
all the time,
They are my brothers and
I love them all,
Those long night when we
were at the fires,
Those nights when I was
listening to them at 2 in the morning,
Those days, when we all
weren't having a good day,
But we still managed to
help each other,
The 2 t-shirts I got,
All the info about what
was new in the hall,
All those tours I got,
All those print-outs I got,
All those memories and times
have paid off,
And I would like to thanks
everybody at 23 Station for everything,
I love you all!!!
I'd like to thank all the
firefighters of Winnipeg, for all the nice things you have done for me!!!
I also like to thank all the firefighters for helping me feel at home and
for making me feel like part of the family.
