Firehall No.18
5000 Roblin Boulevard
Fire station No.18 was build sometime
in the 60's and is the only one which is located in Charelswood, at 5000
Roblin Boulevard. It gets an average of about 850-1300 calls a year. It
only house Engine 18. If you ever drive by it you will see that although
it looks like other stations in the city it is not similar to those ones.
First off, the hose tower is not attached to the firehall at the back but
there's a little piece of the hall that connects the tower and the station. Second it doesn't spread out as much as other stations do. Lastly the door is at the side of the building. This station was also the first station to have the first yellow Pumper truck, sometime after the amalgamation.
