1982/83 Non-Bank Hess Tank
Truck
This is the Non-Bank model that came in the
box that reads "The First Hess Truck." It's
not the first Hess Toy Truck, that was made
in 1964 by Louis Marx and is a Mack B Tanker.
The other truck that is identical to this
one is the 1985 model which is a bank and
opens by twisting the fill knobs on the top.
This is a very nice and clean truck. The
switch is black and I think that means it is
the rarer 1983 model, but that may just be
hogwash for all I know. It has a very nice
box and both inserts. It was made in Hong
Kong. $90.00 is the price.
