The first Dragonball series was created by Akira Toriyama and was about Goku and the mystical dragon. Goku is a Sayan-jin from the planet Vagita(he is one of the last four). Sayan-jin have a special power. When they see a full moon they transform into a huge ape like creature. Goku transforms quit a bit during the season. The mystical dragon was called forth by the dragonballs. He granted you one wish and it had to be in the boundary of his power. After the wish was made the balls would scatter around the planet. This series was pretty much an adventure. There wasn't much fighting as apposed to Dragonball Z.

Goku, Bulma, Yamcha, and some of there other friends were on a quest for the Dragonballs. Along the way they got into alot of trouble. One of there enemies was Damien. He was the bad side of Kami-sama(the god of Earth). After many encounters with Damien, Goku finally kills him but before he died he layed an egg. That egg latter becomes a new Damien called Piccolo. (That is why in Dragonball Z Kami-sama looks older than Piccolo).

I would like to see this series again even though it was kind of lame but they stoped showing episodes of it a little time ago.
