My Review

Instead of reviewing each of the movies seperately, one by one, we thought it would it would easier if we just decided to review them all together.

Each movie is different from each other but they retain the similar comedic style that makes each film so fun to watch.  Marty McFly (Fox) plays a high school "slacker" who gets caught up with the crazy time-travelling adventures of his crackpot-scientist friend Doc Brown (Lloyd).  Doc creates a time machine using a DeLorean and there's a handy keypad in the car, that lets you decide what time you want to go.  This can include both future and past.  But in order to get transportated back in time, you have to go at least 88 Mph and use Plutonium for the time circuits (though this part gets changed later on in the sequels).

There are many wacky adventures that encompastate both Doc and Brown.  The first film involves a plot with McFly accidently going back to 1955, where he accidently meets his parents and by mistake, causes them not to meet each other and therefore, not making them fall in love.  This jeapardizes McFly's existence.  How's he ever supposed to get born? The second film on the other hand takes the genre to a whole new level.  It involves McFly's future with his kids and how he has to save them.  And finally the last one finishes off the series with McFly going further back into the past to save his friend Doc, in the old western days of his city, Hill Valley.

All three movies are exceptionally made.  They are all funny, and the plots between the films somehow get interlaced with each other.  There aren't too many sequals these days, that can actually be compared with the original film.  But Back to the Future, succeeds at doing so. For the most part anyways.  The second film in the series was a bit too complicated and there are some adult themes presented.  When you contrast it to the others, you find the second film, being somewhat of a downer depending on your tastes.  It also features more special effects and a lot more product placeements from too many companies (Pepsi, AT&T, Pizza Hut etc.).  But I thought it was the best one out of the whole series.  I enjoyed the new look and perspective in the events surrounding the first film and even more, the action scenes were a bit more thrilling than a lot of the other films.

The third film was a subtle finish to the series.  There's even a romatic subplot involving Doc and the whole idea of a western did take off.  I liked it too, as much as the others.

In all, I can say the Back to the Future Trilogy was a fine piece of work.  Its warm-hearted and its just a lot of fun watching it.  All three movies were good at what they did, and the sequals were realistically believable.  The plots all flowed together like one complete movie.  Great Scott!
