Starring: Jet Li, Ada Choi, Billy Chow, Chin Siu-hou

Rated: AA for INTENSE Martial art action in your FACE

Plot: Chen Zhen (Jet Li) is out to get his revenge on his masters killer when he finds out that he was poisoned before he went out to battle. There is even a love story with Chen Zhen and a Japanese girl, in the middle of a war between Chinese and Japanese. This is based on Bruce Lee's "Fists of Fury"

My Take: The only reason I picked up this flick on video was because I wanted to compare some of Jet Li's older shit, to Romeo Must Die. I didn't believe my friends at school when they told me this movie was jam-packed with Martial Arts and so on, I didn't believe them cause that's what they said about Romeo Must Die, which stunk. So I thought I'd give this movie a whirl, boy, that was a GREAT decision.

After watching this movie, I can clearly state that Jet Li does kick some major ass. I thought about that when I saw Lethal Weapon 4, then I didn't when I saw Romeo Must Die, now I'm convinced after seeing THIS! This has to be one of the best, if not, THE best martial arts flick of our time. And you wonder where Matrix gets that dojo scene from? Shit I didn't know that they basically ripped it out of Fist of Legend.

I couldn't care for the plot leeks too much, I couldn't care for the hilarious dubbing, I couldn't care for the silly mistakes made in the film, all I cared about where the scenes with these Chinese/Japanese folks kicking the living shit out of eachother. There are sooooo many scenes in here, not the few you get in Romeo Must Die, there are about 10-15 in this flick, none of them are short, and the few memorable ones never get boring, they get better as they go on. The last fight scene in the movie had me crying, that's how amazing it was.

I pictured all the people in the theater going buck wild when there was an action scene in Romeo Must Die, I'd figure they would die after seeing 30 minutes of this film. I just can't believe how well done the scenes were. I assume there were some special effects done in the mix of things here, but nothing noticeable, nothing fucking unbelievable like Romeo Must Die.

Here's what you need to do, get a bunch of buddies, get lots of chips, pretzels, pop, beer, WHATEVER...find a decent sized screen, and get ready to blow a load over this movie, god knows I nearly did.
