the banality of lamentation


	“NDEs consist of a number of features...the NDEr: feels at peace; hears a noise; is
separated from the body and can sometimes watch events taking place; enters a void or
tunnel; meets other people - relatives and associates who already died; sees a light that
becomes brighter; experiences a life review; reaches a form of border or barrier, is made
aware there is a need to return to physical life...

the individual's own consciousness determines much of what follows death...the life review
on a television screen or computer...referred to the occurrence of well-being, timelessness,
seeing a light...earlier recollections...the attending doctor declared that he was dead...
passing through a tunnel...greeted by friends and his own dead father; 
	communicating by thought...
	entering darkness again, 'i did not want to go back’

     imaginative, the survival of death...the common events occurring...no clinical signs of
life...

an elderly woman...blind from the age of eighteen...described her resuscitation...the
instruments...their color...the doctor's clothing...described resuscitation, elsewhere, 
	not a brain disturbance caused by oxygen deprivation
monitored the brain waves of...electroencephalograph...no electrical activity in the brain... 

self-defense...the person...confronted with non-existence...enhanced self-identity 
     
dream-like state       finer details missing,

marked by the
     absolute clarity...  events that manifest themselves

     quite
     different from that induced by drugs or hallucination.   physical brain    necessary for
all thought,   disturbance    result in impaired cognition.  the opposite in NDEs.
     
medication cannot be the cause 
     life     an uncomfortable, experience.   hardly coincides with what has been ...the
afterlife. 
     'Suicide victims seeking annihilation, fundamentalists who expect to see God on the
operating
     table, atheists, agnostics and carpe diem advocates find equal representation in the
ranks of the
     near- death experiencers'.

spirits of deceased loved ones.
          no harp-playing seraphs, no haloed martyrs    no Christ       a conversation
between the part and the
     whole...confronting their own being - as destined
     to become. understanding of the next life
personal evolution
     the afterlife is a place of hope and progress, is the situation of suicides. removes
further desire
     to commit suicide.

gaining extra-sensory perception; people acquiring such abilities as healing, telepathy,
     precognition and automatic writing, after their NDE. greater awareness will prevail,
those who have
     touched that life     return with features of its mode. we all make our own heaven or
hell”

	 plane of reality  i have been and 	i am and 	i will be  i was not and i am
not and i will never be  			is there nothing sacred

nothing to	 create  nothing	 to destroy
									nowhere to 	belong

nothing to 						perfect
			there is only		fate			to guide us

there is only	time			despite us
