upward from haven
a disemotional synthetic nature
mere color marks the ways we used to
see the world
so black-and-white
and innocent
a serendipitous urge
to plasticize and plethorize the soil beneath our feet
to clone and make life
with these dying hands
imagining a brighter world
where sex and love and friendship
are all external
and the soul is spent in solitude
an eternal internal haven
an olfactory denial
to feel nothing more than inner peace
to never reach out and touch the earth
plagued with our scent
a dysfunctional reality
a disconcerting dream
dizziness is spawned here in the toxic waves
of oceans swallowed
in the belly of an oriental wizard
one of seven
cheeks bulging with secrets
many fables to tell
many rains to withhold
(oh, and do tell the Moor she is never coming back
she being the she-demon unveiled to his wrath!)
cloud-sparked dreary evil white looming sunspot-darkened
cloud-bursting vapor-trailing comet tails
in the wake of spinning fractal planes
all alike and perfect and synthetically pleasing to the eye
sugar-coated candy-bloated stomach-squelching
sea serpents twisting thru the limelight
acting out their blasphemous repute
while upward from this atmospheric cemetery
planets hurl their moons around
as if to dance in the light of the sun
and the satellites shine so joyously
at the end of the world that was but once
