this is not the time
to make-believe
in make-believe
reality is not just everything we see

if miracles exist
then why not wish
for miracles
instead of things
that harm us more than heal

while we harm each other
more and more
than long before we knew of peace
it’s always greed
that kills us faster than decease

though death itself
is all we’ve left
to make bereft, unborn and dead
the holocaust
of all we’ve lost
lives on and on
