planet x
swallowed in your iris, the visions of your heart
to peek throughout the eyelets beneath a veil of shadows, doomed, starred
and wishing all the universe would just DIE and with it wash away
the remains of evolution, among the birth of man’s decay
bleed, bleary acumen
tired, endless days of summer whims
we lie slain of misconception
candor lost in the play of interim
let such drivel rest gently on your tongue
foolish
mixed with heartache
the same frail loves
and the unchanged
unwritten
unfinished missives
of souls searching for home
for eternity
in werewolves’ teeth
in planets of doom
in deathless cadavers
and that marked destiny chosen to be the hereafter
reminiscence is cruel to the ever-weary minds it dares to cloud
with memories of forsaken motives and emotions
worlds drifting apart and happiness gone awry
bending and shaping the consciousness into a spear, a pickaxe
to stab unrelenting at the human heart
digging and scratching and clawing as are we, pouring futile angry walls of tame cement
into burning buildings
to forget all that which has been lost
and to replace it with nothing more than that loss, that oblivion, that confusion
for without the past
says i, one of many a voice in this bitter sermon to the universe
the future, broken under the unbalanced weight of time
shall come crashing down in firy bomb blasts
beneath our skulls
(sigh)
and oh how i wonder at the world
at how bright a day tomorrow shall be...
