July 1998 :
When comparing the temperatures of the month over the past 35 years it was found that July 1998 was one of the hotest recorded. Montly mean temperatures exceeded the average values of most stations by 1-3 c . A severe Sharav ( an extreme temperaturse phenomena) like that which occurred in the 5th of july 1998 is exception for the summer climate of Israel. The extreme temperatures of this month were recorded mainly on the 5th, were higher than usual close to the absolute, and constituted at some stations new absolute max.for July .
