Before Sunshine met the Sailor Scouts, she had been a very lonely girl. She originally lived in Phoenix, N.Y. with her father, mother, and twin sister, Raksha.
She is Serena's cousin in both the time of the Moon Kingdom and her time on Earth.
Like Amy/Sailor Mercury, she is a big source of information. She was the one who told the other Scouts about the Night World people and Buffy and her friends.
In the time of the Silver Millenium, something tragic happened to Sunshine. She, her parents, the king and queen of the sun, and her little sister Moonshine were visiting Earth with Queen Serenity, Princess Serena, and her court. One day at a tiny picnic of just the royal family of the sun, Sunshine went for a short walk through the woods.
Sunshine met up with a dark elf named Demitri Darkstar. Later, they realized they were soulmates. A month after the picnic, the three royal families (Moon, Sun, and Earth) had a party. Suddenly, a rogue band of dark elves attacked the group. Sunshine's father and sister were killed and Queen Amber was injured badly.
Before Sunshine left the Earth after this tragedy, Demitri tried to see her once, but she was in mourning, so the Scouts kept him from talking to her. Sunshine left the Earth feeling as if Demitri had never truly loved her and she hardened her heart against all dark elves.
Transformation
Solar Star Crystal Power: This locket has the Imperium Sun Stone, the sister to the Imperium Silver Crystal. The stone was put into the locket by Queen Amber when the moon was under attack by Queen Beryl.
Powers
Solar Flare: Causes a bright flash of blinding white light. (Originally Tien's attack in "Dragon Ball Z")
Solar Fireball Attack: Large ball of flame forms between her hands. When it is large enough, she shoots it at the enemy.
Solar Star Healing Activation: Heals people. Does not bring them back to life! The worse the person is injured, the longer it takes to heal them. When Sunshine calls this out, the injured person is enveloped in a white healing light.
Living Solar Star: Brings people back to life. Like the "Solar Star Healing Activation" in that, the person it is reviving is enveloped in a white healing light.
Cosmic Sun Power: Like Serena's "Cosmic Moon Power". When used with Serena's attack, it quickly takes out an enemy. Instead of a pink light coming out of the locket, it is a yellow light. When Serena uses "Cosmic Moon Power" alone, she usually dies, but when the two powers are used together, Serena and Sunshine only pass out.
