Raksha is the twin sister of Sunshine (Sailor Sun). They are fraternal twins because Raksha has green hair and eyes and Sunshine has brown hair and hazel eyes.
When her sister and parents moved to Tokyo, Raksha stayed in New York with her friends. Sunshine left the Guardian Cat, Garnet, who had a Garnet stone in her forehead.
When it seemed like Sailor Earth was in trouble, Garnet spoke for the first time, giving Raksha her transformation pin and her powers.
