White-haired Malachite is the most senior and most powerful of Beryl's warriors. A wise, experienced face shows awesome power and great authority.
However, even the powerful Malachite meets opposition. He almost succeeds in trapping the Sailor Scouts, but it's then that Sailor Venus appears to spoil his fun. When Zoicite is executed, Malachite seeks vengeance and Queen Beryl tells him what to do: get rid of the Sailor Scouts and take the Imperium Silver Crystal. He goes after the Sailor Scouts with near-absolute hatred. He wants payback . . . big time!
However, the Sailor Scouts prove to be a force to be reckoned with, even for him. At the same time, however, in comes Prince Darien, who has been successfully converted to the bad side by Queen Beryl. Though Darien and Malachite have the same objective, they never get along and refuse to work together. Each has his own agenda. While Malachite wants the crystal recovered and the Sailor Scouts dead, Darien doesn't care about the Sailor Scouts. All he wants is to get the crystal from Sailor Moon. This conflict of interest causes complications on more than one occasion.
Malachite's time comes when the Sailor Scouts decide to pay a call on the Negaverse. After the Sailor Scouts' heart felt reunion with Queen Serenity, Malachite ends up facing an enraged Sailor Moon and the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal. She turns his own powers against Malachite and destroys him.
