Blood Type: A
Positive Traits: Intelligent, Devoted, Understanding
Negative Traits: Lacking a social life
Other Traits: None

Known Hobbies: Reading, Using computers, Swimming, Studying, Playing chess

Sailor Scout Role: Intelligence

First Appearance: Episode 5-"Computer School Blues"

Amy Anderson is extremely intelligent and very diligent. As a Sailor Scout, she's the brains and strategist of the outfit (which proves the old saying "brains over braun"). Her cognitive skills make her a natural for puzzle solving, and she's the one who usually finds the answer to any problems the Sailor Scouts may encounter.

Being the most intelligent, Amy is also the most understanding of everyone else's personalities. She's the one who puts up with the other Scout's quirks without so much as a flinch. In fact, she usually has to break up quarrels between the others, especially Raye and Serena, and she's seriously trying to keep Serena in line.

Amy's one flaw is that she lacks a social life. Her academic diligence has made her a bit out of touch when it comes to boyfriends and other girl stuff, but she's not immune, and, thanks to the other Sailor Scouts, she's slowly catching up. (In fact, the other Scouts sometimes tease her because she actually has a boyfriend.)

Special Instruments

Mercury Computer
What's a genius without a powerful computer disguised as a make-up compact? Equipped with scanning technology, Amy can program it to find almost anything.

VR Visor
Sailor Mercury's Virtual Reality Visor provides a means of examining something for important details. When used iin conjunction with the Mercury Computer, she can find an enemy's weaknesses or important facts about an object or place.

Transformations

Mercury Power/Mercury Star Power
First episode used in: #5-Computer School Blues
(Star)First episode used in: #56-Sailor Mercury Moving On?
With her blue power pen in hand, Amy thrusts her arm into the air, and shouts, "Mercury Power!" She moves the pen in a circle from her head to her toes, and then she turns around halfway. Thin blue ribbons of energy shoot out from the pen, covering her body, and creating her sailor suit. Then, she makes another half-turn. She strikes her pose, facing forward, feet shoulder-width apart, knees touching each other, arms partly extended, left elbow touching body, right elbow slightly off to the side. A few stars shine in the background.

With her blue star pen in hand, Amy holds her star pen in the air, and shouts, "Mercury Star Power!" She gets her nails done like Sailor Moon, except they're colored blue. The transformation is the same as thte "Mercury Power" one. At the end, the sign of Mercury is in the background.

Special Powers

Mercury Bubbles Blast
First episode used in: #5-Computer School Blues
Sailor Mercury's Bubble attack has more than one use. It can call up a fog to hide the immediate area. Also, the bubbles can bring down the temperature of the area, causing Negaverse monsters to lose their concentration and begin to shiver.

Sailor Mercury takes up a stance like a SF (Street Fighter) character about to unleash a fireball. She says, "Mercury Bubbles . . ." and the bubbles form in her hands. Next, she spins completely around, counter-clockwise. Then, she spreads her arms out, unleashing a wide spread of bubbles while saying, " . . . Blast!"

Mercury Ice Bubbles Freeze
First episode used in: #47-Much Ado About Babysitting
Sailor Mercury got very ticked off after watching Alan and Ann's cardian pick on a bunch of defenseless babies. After the Moonlight Knight came to her and Sailor Moon's aid, Sailor Mercury released her anger. After telling the cardian off, she let loose with a new attack.

Actually she goes through the same sequence as before, with two changes. First, the words change from "Mercury Bubbles Blast" to "Mercury Ice Bubbles Freeze!" And second, the bubbles don't fog up the area, they just freeze the target in a wall of ice.

Mercury Ice Storm Blast/Shine Aqua Illusion
First episode used in: #56-Sailor Mercury Moving On?
It begins with a single drop of water, splashing into a large puddle of water that Mercury is standing in. She spins around, and water gathers around her. She says, "Mercury Ice Storm Blast (usually it's "Shine Aqua Illusion")!," and releases a large wave of water at the target.

In "Sibling Rivalry, "the animation sequence for the "Mercury Bubbles Blast" attack was used for some reason.

These are Sailor Mercury's powers and transformations in future series!

SuperS
Mercury Crystal Power, make-up!
Amy says this to transform into Super Sailor Mercury. In the anime, Pegasus granted her this power-up, but in the manga she looked deep inside of herself for more power.

Mercury Aqua Rhapsody
Super Sailor Mercury says this to generate an ice harp that blasts the enemies with ice. The harp plays some nice music, too.

Mercury Aqua Magic
This is Mercury's special attack, which she only used once in the Amy special, "Amy's First Love." It involves her creating a ball of ice which breaks into several fragments of ice and reforms around an enemy, and then explodes. Sailor Mercury destroyed the monster of "Amy's First Love" by herself, but collapsed afterward.
