BIOGRAPHY: Gleering is a small-time farmer who works long hours on the fields of land in a village bordering New Valarak. He is the father of Leoric's main squeeze Fletchen. Before his dealings with the beast drama in "Lion Hunt", Gleering was scared of this second Age of Magic and didn't trust anyone who had magical powers.
Gleering is quite an old man, with one eye patch, but it is not known why he lost an eye. He is superstitious and believe touching his charm by his front door, and saying a small poem which is "Touch a charm at fall of night, and you will sleep, safe from fright." It's suppoesed give him luck and safety at night. His daughter Fletchen has the same beliefs and Gleering has given her a good upbringing as she is clever and wise.
After "Lion Hunt" Gleering changes his views on magic after meeting the Spectral Knights and accepts Leoric as Fletchen's partner. He got stuck in a bad situation where the village is destroyed and has to be rebuilt, but the whole adventure has enlightened Gleering's view on the new world of magic.
