BIOGRAPHY: Back in the age of science, Ectar was a police detective for New Valarak. In the age of magic he is a knight of the New Valarak Council.
His main duty is to protect and defend, so he takes care of the security control in New Valarak. He is especially close to Leoric and Feryl of the Spectral Knights.
Ectar can find or figure out things before the others do. For instance, he notices the Darkling Lords are in hiding, waiting to ambush the Spectral Knights. So he warned the Knights. He can tell when something fishy is going on and can detect bad happenings that could be on the horizon, almost to the point of being intuitive. In the age of science, he was notorious for his interrogations of criminals.
He has a personal rivaly with Darkling Lord Reekon. You see, Reekon was a thief in the age of Science, and Ectar was on the chase for him. Reekon was very hard to catch. Since then there has been this unusual respect for each other for being so skilled in their arts, that Ectar needs him and Reekon needs him, confusingly. This shows that Ectar has honor and respect. In the comics, Ectar's Power of Protection had a poem-spell:
