BIOGRAPHY: Darkstorm's ridiculously full title is evil ruler of Blackdak, Lord of the veldt, Baron of Blackmoor and Sapetrap of Zangora. He desperately wants Leoric's city of New Valarak to add to his conquests. He wanted nothing to do with Merklynn's promise of magic until his sworn enemy Leoric accepted this invitation.
At first he only had Mortdredd his servant, and Reekon, his Mercenary to be his minions, but he found Knights called Lexor, Cindarr, Cravex and Virulina tied upside down. Darkstorm gave the ultimatum of getting them free, only if they join his gang and become loyal only to him. They agreed, and the Darkling Lords were born.
Darkstorm is unspeakably cruel, and enjoys human suffering like Cravex does. In his very own castle, he has in his throne room, a giant chessboard on floor level, that are built on trapdoors. So if while playing the game, a chess piece was eliminated, it would fall down into a pit of fire or hay. Whats more alarming is these "chess pieces" were actually people. Yikes!!
Darkstorm likes to think he is better than everyone else. In "The Overthrow of Merklynn" he thinks he can outsmart Merklynn, and steals his magic spell book, but it all goes horribly wrong, with end of the world looming, he gives it back to Merklynn. He also tries to turn ordinary people against the Spectral Knights such as in "Lion Hunt" and "The Price of Freedom".
