Wendy has been a Toastmaster since October 1998 (Club # 753 Nationwide). Since her induction into the organization, she has held the office of Club President, VP of Publicity, VP of Education, Fall 2001 District Conference Facilities Chairperson, 2002 Regional Conference Committee, and District 40 Central Division Governor (President’s Distinguished Division).
In 2003, Wendy was elected District Governor. Under her vision of “Synergy For Success”, District 40 attained its first Select Distinguished District by finishing 8th in the world. This past year, Wendy has served the D-40 as Immediate Past District Governor, in addition to, serving as Central Division Club Extension Chair and VPE of 2 clubs.
Wendy emanates just as much energy in her professional life. She has worked as a Registered Nurse Clinician in Critical Care for eighteen years. During this time, she was an adjunct Faculty Member at Franklin University, teaching Anatomy & Physiology for the BS Nursing Program. While working, she returned to school for a BA in Organizational Communication. In 1998, she began her second career with Nationwide Financial as a Corporate Trainer. Since then, she has been promoted to Process Design Analyst (Project Life Cycle) and Technical Writer/Web Manager. She currently works as a Sr. Communication Coordinator for Nationwide Insurance World Headquarters.
