ITV 1

ITV 1 is a commercial terrestrial station owned by ITV.

The program content covers many genre’s including soaps, drama, general entertainment (such as game shows and reality TV shows), kids, news (plus regional news), sport, lifestyle, chart music programs, movies and much more. This is the UK’s most watched commercial TV channel because it caters for such a wide audience. The region you receive is dependant on your local transmitter or, in the case of Sky, the postcode of your location. There are several regional versions across the UK, and in Scotland and Northern Ireland separate companies own the third channel. Some of the other regions are also separate companies but still refer to ITV as the main owner. The only main differences between the regions are the news programs.
