Five
Five is a commercial terrestrial
station, which until recently was called Channel 5.
The program content covers
many genre’s including general entertainment, soaps, game shows, comedy, news
(including short bulletins at peak viewing times), affairs, sport, lifestyle,
documentaries, movies and much more. Five has used cost effective methods in
order to broadcast as the fifth analogue terrestrial service that launched in
the late 1990s. The programs shown on Five are in many ways of considerable
high quality due to their uniqueness, high number of movies, and the way the
news is operated. Unfortunately since the analogue terrestrial platform was
originally designed for four channels, terrestrial coverage is not as good for
Five as it is for the other four channels.
